About "Portrait I"
In June 2000 the CGQ recorded their debut compact disc for Eclectra
Records. This CD has since received rave reviews. In particular,
"Portrait I" was specially selected by Virgin Records
for their annual New York display in 2001.
This debut disc includes:
- the CGQ's own arrangements of Brahms waltzes and Hungarian
Dances (published by Les Productions d'Oz)
- original Canadian music for guitar quartet by Patrick Roux

About
"Les scènes de quartiers"
The CGQ's 2nd CD from Eclectra Records was released in late
2003. This CD includes Patrick Roux' exciting concerto Aux Rythmes
des Quartier Latins for Guitar Quartet and Orchestra with Ensemble
Appassionata of Montreal, and the fascinating story of two tango
personalities in Tango Contretemps Go also by Roux.
On March 24, 2005, Les Scènes de Quartiers was awarded
"Le Prix Trille Or” for instrumental album of the
year by the "Association des Professionnels de la Chanson
et de la Musique”, Ontario, Canada.
